Foster Care Benefits
yellow
Most foster parents say their love for children and wanting to help them is reason enough to provide foster care. In addition to the opportunity to make a real and lasting difference in the life of a child, KCSL resource families enjoy the following benefits:
  • Responsive, available support 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Flexible, foster family friendly scheduling of home visits and meetings.
  • A well trained, experienced, professional resource family staff.
  • A competitive daily reimbursement to help pay for the care of children in your home. Rates paid to you vary based on the needs and challenges of each child.
  • Two days paid respite (vacation) each month.
  • Support groups and ongoing trainings available across the state.
  • Partnerships with agencies across the state that enables KCSL to place children in your home that meet their needs and your capabilities.
