Sedgwick County has nine classrooms with 205 slots. The classrooms are located in the following centers:
  • Wichita USD 259 - three classrooms
  • Maize USD 266 - two classrooms
  • Rainbows United Kids' Point - one classroom
  • Greater Wichita YMCA East Branch - two classrooms
  • Haysville USD 261 - one classroom
The grantee is the Sedgwick County Early Childhood Coordinating Council (SCECCC). The SCECCC is a community inter-agency coordinating council that has over 40 member agencies and community members. The fiscal and administrative agent for the Pre K grant is the Kansas Children’s Service League (KCSL).

The Sedgwick County Pre K Grant meets the Pre K standards in the following ways:
  • All classrooms use an evidence-based curriculum.
  • Family Involvement is provided by various staff within each agency. Some partners use social workers and others use parent involvement specialists. The goal has been to provide all families with at least one home visit each semester, while also offering lots of other opportunities for family involvement through special events.
  • All classrooms have a teacher with a BA degree and at least one assistant with a CDA or equivalent.
