Outpatient Mental Health

KCSL’s Outpatient Mental Health program offers a variety of services to meet your child’s or family’s needs. A comprehensive evaluation will be completed in order to develop a personalized treatment plan.

Infant, Child and Adolescent Therapy
  • For children ages 0-5, services focus on improved social & emotional development, parent-child bonding, attachment and challenging behaviors.
  • Services for children and adolescents include assistance with:
    • Building educational success
    • School attendance
    • Gangs, peer pressure, bullying, body image, self-esteem, depression
    • sleeping and eating disorders
    • Trauma-informed services
    • Peer relationships
    • Mood disorder
Family Therapy
  • Designed for parents and children; focuses on emotional, relational and behavioral challenges.

Early Childhood Mental Health

Early intervention is the key to a child's success. Early Childhood Mental Health Services are designed to meet the mental health needs of young children in Wichita and Sedgwick County. The program pieces together school readiness initiatives designed to make sure children birth to age six are ready for school.

KCSL's Early Childhood Mental Health Services are designed to assist families, children and the early childhood professionals who serve them with resources they need to help the child reach their full potential. The program offers the following services:
  • Consultation, observation, screen and asessment
  • Therapy/Counseling
  • Treatment focused on
    • challenging behaviors
    • bonding and attachment
    • securing relationships with caregivers
