Outpatient Mental Health
KCSL’s Outpatient Mental Health program offers a variety of services to meet your child’s or family’s needs. A comprehensive evaluation will be completed in order to develop a personalized treatment plan.

Child and Adolescent Therapy
  • For children age 0-5, services focus on bonding and attachment

  • Services for children and adolescents include assistance with:
    • Building educational success
    • School attendance
    • Gangs, peer pressure, body image, self-esteem
    • Trauma based services
    • Peer relationships
    • Anger management
    • Psychological Evaluation and Testing
Family Therapy
  • Designed for parents with children living in the home; focuses on emotional and behavioral challenges

Early Childhood Mental Health

Early intervention is the key to a child's success. Early Childhood Mental Health Services are designed to meet the mental health needs of young children in Wichita and Sedgwick County. The program pieces together school readiness initiatives designed to make sure children birth to age six are ready for school.

KCSL's Early Childhood Mental Health Services are designed to assist families, children and the early childhood professionals who serve them with resources they need to help the child reach their full potential. The program offers the following services:
  • Consultation, observation, screen and asessment
  • Therapy/Counseling
  • Treatment focused on
    • challenging behaviors
    • boding and attachment
    • securing relationships with caregivers
    • social and emotional development
    • school readiness
    • basic development stages
Psychiatric Evaluation and Medication Management

  • Designed for children 6-18
    • manage symptoms
    • reduce barriers
    • improve school and life success
    • enhance overall treatment plan

  • Children under 5, with therapist referral only (upon review)
