Early Head Start
KCSL’s Early Head Start provides an early childhood education program that promotes successful outcomes for children and families in Western Kansas. Our program offers weekly home visitation and quality resources for expectant mothers or parents with children under the age of 3-years-old to ensure the best early learning and enrichment experiences for your family. KCSL supports the social and cognitive development of young children through educational, health, nutritional, social and other family services.

Our home visitors provide valuable information and activities that align with your family’s goals and cultural heritage. We establish a partnership with your family by offering information and activities for learning, discussion and social activity. Early Head Start provides a foundation for school readiness and promotes positive parent-child interactions in the home that incorporates learning moments into your daily routine. Parents and caregivers learn new ways to interact with their children and help them succeed in life!

As your child grows from an infant to a toddler and family needs change, KCSL’s Early Head Start program options can support you over time. This ensures your families can grow within a consistent, supportive setting with appropriate care and services.

The program, sponsored by the Kansas Children’s Service League focuses on children’s health, safety, and development, and assists parents in adjusting to their new role.
