Enrolling in KCSL’s Head Start program means you want your child to be ready for school.
And at KCSL, we believe every child deserves a chance for a better life. Our Head Start
program provides early childhood education and other family services to the most vulnerable
families. The program supports the physical, social emotional and cognitive development of
children ages 3 to 5-years-old. We encourage stable family relationships, enhance physical
and emotional well-being and establish an environment to develop strong cognitive skills.
In addition to quality education services, KCSL offers health, nutrition and other services
that are responsive to your family’s ethnic and cultural heritage.
KCSL supports positive parent-child relationships and family well-being. The role of parents
and caregivers as their child’s first and most important teacher is always encouraged. Together,
we’re building a stronger Western Kansas community by empowering children and families with
essential skills for success.
