KCSL Foundation
The Kansas Children’s Service League Foundation (KCSLF) was incorporated as a Kansas not-for-profit corporation on March 30, 1998. Its primary purpose is “to protect and promote the well-being of children by providing ongoing support of the charitable mission of the Kansas Children's Service League.”

The KCSLF is governed by a Board of Trustees numbering between ten and fifty members who each serve a one-year term. An annual meeting of the KCSLF Board of Trustees is held in April each year for the nomination and election of new officers as well as other business. There are three additional quarterly meetings held for the full Board of Trustees.

The KCSLF currently has four committees—executive, finance, nominating and fund development—to help facilitate the business of the foundation.

The KCSLF’s assets are approximately $8.5 million. The investments are managed under investment guidelines established by the finance committee and approved by the Board of Trustees.

The long-term goal of the KCSLF is to grow the foundation corpus to a size that helps establish the Kansas Children's Service League as a “fiscally responsible, well-prepared and forward-looking nonprofit, ready to weather economic downturns and ensure long-term survival.”*
