The Oasis program is a free and voluntary case management service to families and youth age 10-17 who are at-risk in Shawnee County. Youth at-risk include youth experiencing family conflict, truancy or other problems at school, anti-social behavior and drug and alcohol use by the youth or parents. The goals of Oasis are to:
  • Prevent out-of-home placement;
  • Improve family and youth functioning;
  • Provide crisis intervention case management services;
  • Decrease truant behavior; and
  • Locate needed resources for families.
The Oasis Runaway Program provides several core services that are designed to meet the needs of each family and youth.

Crisis Intervention Services
Oasis’ trained staff are available to help families diffuse family conflict. These services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
