Southwestern Kansas Sharing Success through Head Start Hero Program
Kansas Children’s Service League (KCSL) was awarded $1,000 by Wheatland Electric Cooperative’s Sharing Success Fund. Award funds will go towards KCSL’s Head Start Heroes, which began in 2022, to support Head Start and Early Head Start programs in southwestern Kansas. These programs are centered around creating, repairing, and restoring healthy parent-child relationships and promoting school-readiness.
Wichita County Community Foundation Support
KCSL was awarded a grant by Wichita County Community Foundation to cover health and safety supplies along with car seat technician training for staff members. These funds will help the KCSL team be able to better serve area families and protect and promote the well-being of children.
