KCSL’s Garden City location, spearheaded by our early education team members, hosted a fun and festive community event for the whole family. The Trunk or Treat event was put on by the KCSL team along with local businesses, community partners, and many invaluable volunteers on October 29, 2022. The event also coincided with the Finney County Library’s Halloween Extravaganza across the street. The community truly worked together to put on such an awesome event for families in the area.
About The Event
We welcomed over 700 children and families to this year’s Halloween event. There were 14 treat stations, community resources, games, prizes, and so much more! KCSL is incredibly thankful for the volunteers who contributed a combined 150+ hours of time. We also want to give a shout out to those who donated candy throughout October to hand out to the children and the local businesses and organizations who helped make the event a success. The Garden City Police Department even attended to help attendees safely cross the street between Trunk or Treat and the Finney County Library’s Halloween Extravaganza.
