A Year in Review: Spend Time Together

A Message from Gail

Hello Friends,

Memories flood my mind as we say farewell to 2024. We celebrated Child Abuse Prevention Month, joined families in engaging and interactive family nights, expanded the minds of parents at the Parent Leadership Conference and became stronger professionals at the annual Governor’s Conference. These moments reminded us that our shared moments make Kansas Children’s Service League (KCSL) what it is today. Everyone benefits when we spend time together as an agency, a community or a family.

Strengthening Family Connections

When we take a step away from busy schedules and a step toward our loved ones, our overall connection grows stronger. Families build communication skills, find emotional support within one another and alleviate outside stresses when together. In return, this brings us balance and focus as we enter the workplace.

Enhancing Workplace Relationships

The bonds we foster at home are just as valuable as forming bonds in the workplace. Engaging with colleagues individually and collaborating as an entire agency drives employees’ trust, creativity and determination to continue driving your workplace forward. At KCSL, hosting agency-wide spirit weeks, potlucks and other informal gatherings encourages connection in meaningful ways and strengthens our workplace culture.

Prioritizing Meaningful Connections

As we move into the new year, let’s continue to focus on spending time together and building stronger connections in and out of our professional lives. Take time this holiday season to surround yourself with your loved ones and acknowledge how these moments are influential to our daily lives.

Wishing you a joyful and connected holiday season,

Gail Cozadd
